I'm Edwin Rutsch, Director of the Center for Building a Culture of Empathy.

Welcome: To this Series of Empathy Circles with Empathy Activists. By Activists I mean people committed to working on practicing, researching, teaching and promoting the value of empathy.

Our Topic is: How Might We Build the Empathy Movement?

I want to get these activists together to

  • start talking about this topic,

  • connect with each other

  • generate ideas to work on

  • build more of an empathic community and movement.

We are going to be using the Empathy Circle process which I find is the most effective foundational empathy building practice.

Everyone here knows how to do the process. For viewers, you can check the description for a link to a detail instructions for how to take part in and facilitate an Empathy Circle. We will go for 2 hours.
