Ideas for the Empathy Lab:

  • run the lab using the Agile/ Lean Startup approach of lots of fast test+learn cycles to experiment with a number of empathy spreading ideas

  • Empathy Animation:

    • explore reaching out Filmbuilder & Friends or Pixar or similar to see if any might be interested in creating a playful Empathy Circle animation with fun characters as part of a social-good campaign that could be shared on social media across the world + inspire followers into the movement

  • social-media Empathy Challenge

      • Similar to the popular ice-bucket type challenges but centered on Empathy. The hope is that we can get to go viral. The excitement generated is then used to create a funnel of interest into the larger Empathy Circle movement

  • Empathy Festival, a week-long conference of speakers, marathon empathy circles, spiritual music + other soulful activities and invite attendees from around the world to re-ignite the movement

  • explore some popular Empathy Games in the lab

      • Short playful activities that build empathy + team building and bring a renewed sense of community within the facilitator community

  • explore creating new Empathy Modules such as conflict mediation training or trauma-sensitive facilitation training or any other similar modules that seem popular to re-engage inactive members of the community

  • Empathy Impact Awards ceremony hosted by Building a Culture of Empathy

      • create a Reward System in the community to recognise other movements, organizations + public figures who help spread Empathy in the world. Honor them with an “Empathy Impact Awards” + host a high-profile ceremony
